Why does Jungian psychology exert such a profound influence in our culture?

Jungian psychology continues to exert a profound influence on culture and our understanding of our individual lives. Though he usually appears in the second chapter of psychology textbooks (and disappears soon after), Jung’s ideas remain both practical and prescient guides through our contemporary crises of meaning and spirituality. We will explore such key ideas as shadow, the archetypal, complexes, and the collective unconscious through lecture, film, and discussion.
