We presented Schubert’s stunning song cycle of a solitary wanderer without shelter in the context of Lebanese-born Palestinian artist Mona Hatoum’s groundbreaking installations. Her work explores the fragility of home in a world torn apart by war and exile. Metropolitan Opera baritone Tyler Duncan made his Houston recital debut.
