The Heritage Society is pleased to present The Life and Times of Charles Goodnight, a collection of work on loan from The Bryan Museum in Galveston, Texas. This series of stunning oil paintings and artist sketches by Lee Cable details the life and story of famed Texas cattleman Charles Goodnight. Goodnight’s involvement in the recovery of Cynthia Ann Parker, along with his friendship with Oliver Loving, is chronicled in Cable’s artwork.
The collection demonstrates the historical wonder of the cattle drive and its importance in the history of the west. Alongside the artwork are a saddle and a
