Caliente: Evolving Expressions

This body of work shows a great diversity of evolving styles and a wide variety of approaches to content and subject. Some of the artists are just beginning to understand how to successfully communicate visual ideas, while others are “on the path”.

There are many individual ways in which the artists find meaning and expression. Inspiration seems to come from many sources; nature, the human form, architecture, history and even current events. This contrast of subject can be seen in comparing the figurative work of Patrica Blackwell with the impeccable order and texture in the work of Page Piland.

This exhibition offers a glimpse into the unique avenues in which a group of dedicated artists find ways of expression and reflections of their own personal experiences.
