Houston Grand Opera presents Johann Strauss’s witty farce, Die Fledermaus (The Bat). May 16 – 17, each evening at 8pm
Prince Orlofsky's costume ball – the most coveted invitation of the year – drives the action of this funny, clever operetta, set in 1920’s New York with beautiful art deco scenes and costumes.
Captivating serenades and lilting waltzes permeate the rich score from Strauss, known as the "Waltz King."
These performances feature the talented young artists of the HGO Studio training program and will be conducted by Craig Kier.

All performances at Miller Outdoor Theatre are free.
This is a ticketed event for the covered seating area. Free tickets are available (4 per person over age 16 while they last) at the Miller Outdoor Theatre box office the day of the performance between the hours of 10:30am-1pm.
If tickets remain at 1pm, the box office will re-open one hour before show time to distribute the remaining tickets.
As always, open seating on the hill.
