St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Nassau Bay presents “Icons in Transformation,” an immersive experience featuring over 160 works, including two- and three-dimensional pieces by internationally renowned artist Ludmila Pawlowska.
Icons in Transformation, which has been displayed in cathedrals throughout Europe and the U.S., was created by renowned Russian iconographer Ludmila Pawlowska and features over 160 individual pieces located throughout the church. Featuring both traditional icons and Pawlowska’s contemporary two- and three-dimensional responses to them, the exhibition encompasses the campus both indoors and outdoors. “Icons in Transformation” runs through August 10. The exhibition is free and open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays from 2-5PM and on the first Wednesday of each month from 10AM-12PM and 6-8PM. Ticketed events, including lectures, performances, and interactive classes, are listed on the web site.
