Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues

House of Blues presents Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues.

With The Moody Blues winding down a run of U.S. tour dates prior to embarking on their second annual fan cruise, frontman Justin Hayward has just announced plans to hit the road solo in May and June. The month-long trek is scheduled to begin with a May 13 show in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and is mapped out through a June 13 performance in Richmond, Canada.

Hayward’s tour is in support of his latest solo album, Spirits of the Western Sky, which was released in February 2013. The outing includes stops in New York, Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, Texas, Arizona, California, Oregon and Washington.

In 1967 Justin said that he found his songs made up a kind of biography or diary of his life, as they were about people he’d known or people he’d only known in his imagination, places he had seen only for a moment and places he had lived in all his life. Now, his hope is that through his music he will have helped to make the world a better place.

When stepping back out of the spotlight, Justin lists his hobbies as music, walking, running, working-out, and horse-riding.
