La Vida Es Cortos/Life Is Shorts is a short play AND short film festival that features Latinx artists and stories from around this city, this country, and other Latin American nations.
Experience universal stories of laughter and heartache through the words and bodies of Latinx artists as we try to navigate through the daily struggles we call life. The plays presented are directed by six local groups of Latinx artists. Films were submitted and chosen from filmmakers from Houston and other cities around the country.
La Vida Es Cortos/Life Is Shorts Festival is funded in part by grants from the City of Houston through the Houston Arts Alliance.
The short film and short play festival will be held at MATCH in Matchbox 1 on Friday November 9th and Saturday November 10th, 2018 at 8 PM with a preview on Thursday November, 8th at 7:30 that is intended to accommodate parents with children (Content is rated PG-13). Tickets are pay-what-you-wish. All tickets are general seating and start at $5 for the Preview and $10 for performances on Friday and Saturday, and go up at $5 increments. Suggested ticket price is $25.
