Houston Chamber Choir performs music of Bach’s successors at Thomaskirche inspired by the research of UH Professor Jeffrey Sposato.
Houston Chamber Choir’s last concert of the 2018-2019 Season, Leipzig after Bach, provides the final piece to their diverse and entertaining season of choral music. The names Johann Doles, Johann Hiller and Johann Schicht may not register with us today but they were among those entrusted with the musical life of the Thomaskirche after the time of J.S. Bach. Assisted by noted University of Houston scholar Jeffrey Sposato, author of the upcoming book this concert is based upon, we take a rare look into the music for chorus and orchestra of these composers whose work has been largely
Tickets are $40 (General Admission), $36 (Senior/First Responder/Military/Music Educator), or $10 (Student). They are on sale now and available by calling the Houston Chamber Choir office or visiting our website.
Seating is open with up-front, reserved seating for Chamber Choir subscribers. Patrons have the option of picking up their tickets at Will Call up to an hour before the performance, or they can choose to have their tickets mailed to them. Tickets can also be purchased at the door using cash, credit card, or check, pending availability.
