National Trails Day at Brazos Bend State Park
Join a guided hike or a bird-watching excursion, then learn about alligators or how to take better photographs during National Trails Day at Brazos Bend State Park Saturday, June 7.
The day will also include guided bike rides, a snake program, a geocaching workshp and a children's story time.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
- 9:00 –Alligator Hike–Meet at 40-Acre Lake Restrooms for a 1 mile guided hike to learn more about Brazos Bend’s most popular resident. Bring binoculars.
- 9:30 –Gorgeous Gorge Hike–Join us for a 2.5 mile guided hike to one of the least visited areas of the park. See the Big Creek Gorge,
All programs are free of charge with regular park admission, $7.00 per person, children 12 and under are free (price subject to change).
Donations will be acceptedand will go to EarthQuest.
Program will be heldon lawn area in front of the Nature Center. Bring blankets, sit on the grass or bring lawn chairs.
