Of Gypsies and Rhapsodies

The Apollo Chamber Players presents Of Gypsies and Rhapsodies Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 6:00pm at in Duncan Recital Hall, Rice University-Shepherd School of Music.

Austrian Franz Josef Haydn dons his gypsy hat, roused by the stirring realms of Eastern European folk music. The Hungarian dynamic duo  – Liszt and Bartok – exemplify composers whose musical souls derive from their country's distinctive folk music identity.
