Stage Door Inc. presents Operation Redneck, by D. M. Larson, a dinner theater comedy opening at Stage Door Inc. in Pasadena on May 2, 2014 and running weekends through May 11, 2014.

Not all makeovers involve dressing up. In Operation Redneck, one city boy will have to dress down — way down — if he ever hopes to fit in with some rough-and-tumble West Texans.

Written by two-time Emmy winner D.M. Larson, this heartwarming comedy follows Julie as she moves back to "the sticks" to care for her mother and little sister after her father skipped town with another woman. The situation gets even trickier when she receives a letter from Jacob, her boyfriend back in the big city, asking to pay a visit.

Worried he won't blend in with the local scenery, Julie and her two roommates plan to turn Jacob into a redneck … if temporarily.

Quickly, however, their "Operation Redneck" goes awry. Confusion and hilarity follow in this redneck comedy that reminds us to embrace those around us, no matter where they come from.
