Rothko Chapel presents Poetry for Peace. Featuring Naomi Shihab Nye (pictured) and Chana Bloch.
To commemorate Israeli Independence Day and Palestinian Nakba Day, Palestinian-American poet Naomi Shihab Nye and Jewish-American poet Chana Bloch read from their poetry and translations.
Both poets draw upon their heritage in their work, yet see peace as essential.

7pm. Doors open at 6:30PM for guests who RSVP. All seats open at 6:45PM. A book signing and reception follows the program.

Food and beverages are not permitted inside of the Chapel. Items such as backpacks, luggage, and umbrellas must be left in the Chapel foyer.
