Music: Eduardo Zetina, “Mr. Tango”, will sing some of the most beautiful tangos and milongas ever written. Tango and milonga are styles extended in all Latin-American, Europe, and beyond. To make the evening complete, Veronica Marini–Quintana and Adriano Quintana, will dance tango and milonga with the typical Argentinean style.
Art Exhibit: The art exhibit will showcase tango images depicting people dancing tango, which is one of the most beautiful dances from Argentina. The tango and the milonga characterize a time that is remembered in the paintings.
The art exhibit also has paintings that indigenous populations worked on cloth and painted with a hand prepared mixture. The composition of each painting is impressive and absolutely astonishing.
Argentinean National Flag: The Day of the National Flag, celebrated on June 20th, is the holiday dedicated to the Argentine flag and to the commemoration of its creator, Manuel Belgrano.
The Keith Jackson Hall, at the IHCH where the event will take place has a capacity of 100 people. Please make reservations in advance. Contact : 713 528 1492 or institute@ihch.org – Web: www.ihch.org.
