Texas Black Expo Juneteenth Summer Celebration 2014 takes place June 19 through 23 with events at the Four Seasons Hotel, the George R. Brown Convention Center, House of Blues Houston and at Discovery Green.
Approximately 25,000 attendees are expected to attend the TBE Summer Celebration, which is chaired by State Representative Sylvester Turner.

TBE will feature a star-studded line-up of celebrity guests, including lyricist MC Lyte, music sensations Morris Day and The Time, and nationally-syndicated radio host, Tom Joyner, among others.
MC Lyte, The Grammy©-nominated lyricist, along with legendary music sensations and actors Morris Day and the Time, will perform live at Texas Black Expo Old-School R&B Hip-Hop Concert, Saturday, June 21, at 6:00 p.m. at Discovery Green.
Earlier Saturday, MC Lyte, syndicated radio personality, Sybil Wilkes, and best-selling author ReShonda Tate Billingsley, and other prominent female personalities, will lead “Diva Dialogue,” the Expo’s most popular panel discussion addressing hot topics of interest to women.
Also as part of the Expo, Tom Joyner, host of the “Tom Joyner Morning Show,” will broadcast his syndicated radio show live from Houston, Friday, June 20. In addition, Joyner will host several Expo events throughout the weekend. Jeff Hoffman, successful entrepreneur and founder of Priceline.com, will also be a part of the action-packed weekend. Hoffman will provide business advice and insight to entrepreneurs from across Texas at the “Coffee and Conversation” breakfast on Friday, June 20.

State Senator Wendy Davis, democratic candidate for governor, will deliver the keynote address at the TBE Corporate Luncheon, Friday, June 20, 2014, 12:30 p.m., Four Seasons Hotel Houston. TBE is a nonprofit organization with a mission to stimulate growth and development within Texas’ urban communities by strengthening businesses, inspiring youth, and building better lives.

The TBE Corporate Luncheon, which is co-presented by the Texas Legislative Black Caucus, is a featured event at the 11th Annual TBE Summer Celebration, June 19-22, in Houston. The luncheon will gather the foremost business and community leaders, TBE corporate sponsors, and elected officials from across the state to help commence the action-packed, weekend of events.
