Cinco Ranch Rotary
The Rotary Club of Cinco Ranch, formerly the Rotary Club of Katy Sunrise, was founded in May 2002. The members of the Cinco Ranch Rotary have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local and international charities as well as completed thousands of hours of community service, all to better the community in which we live.
Cinco Ranch Rotary projects include hosting adoption fairs; annual hosting of international exchange students; funding clean water projects in Brazil, India and Zimbabwe; funding education and literacy projects in Jamaica; and contributing to Polio Plus with the goal of eliminating polio throughout the world. Most recently, the Cinco Ranch Rotary donated $25,000 to the Brookwood Community’s new “Center for Learning”.
Rotary is a worldwide organization of more than 1.2 million business, professional, and community leaders. Members of Rotary clubs, known as Rotarians, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.
There are 33,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas. Clubs are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds. As signified by the motto Service Above Self, Rotary’s main objective is service —in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world.
