Congregation Beth Jacob Galveston, which nearly met its demise in 2008 after Hurricane Ike ravaged its buildings, ushers in its 85th anniversary year under the spiritual leadership of Rabbi Todd Doctor.

An egalitarian synagogue in the conservative tradition, the Congregation strives to support the principles of study of Torah, service to the community, and deeds of compassion.
