Beethoven's Voice, Houston Masterworks Chorus Cele...

Presented by Houston Masterworks Chorus and Chapelwood United Methodist Church and Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra (FBSO) and Houston Camerata at Chapelwood United Methodist Church

On the celebration of Beethoven’s 250th birthday, Houston Masterworks Chorus in partnership with Houston Camerata, Blinn College District Chamber Choir and the Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra will present the Beethoven’s Voice concert on April 5, 2020 at 4 pm.

This concert includes Beethoven’s beautiful Mass in C Major and other pieces, including the Hallelujah from Christ of the Mount of Olives and the Ode to Joy chorus.

The community will experience a choral masterpiece from a composer that is well known and respected. A collaborative project of a choral masterwork enriches the lives of every singer no matter their age and all singers will experience Beethoven’s creative genius. The Mass is C Major is most likely the only piece that our Blinn College students will be able to perform at their age. All other Beethoven vocal works are challenging and not vocally accessible to young voices. HMC partnering with the students and Houston Camerata offers the singers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
