McKenzie Wark is professor of culture and media in liberal studies at New School for Social Research in New York City. His research interests are media theory, new media, critical theory, cinema, music, and visual art.

He is the author of several books, including A Hacker Manifesto and most recently, The Beach Beneath the Street.

This event is part of the Core Program's 2013–2014 lecture series.
