3rd Annual Rails and Tails Mudbug Festival

Presented by City of Tomball at Tomball Depot

The smell of crawfish boiling in the pot will fill the air along with classic rock, country, funk and traditional Cajun tunes when the City of Tomball hosts the 3rd Annual Rails and Tails Mudbug Festival at the historic Depot on May 3rd and 4th from 11 AM – 6:30 PM.

Chow down on a variety crawfish specialties and alligator from the French Quarter Grill while listening to tunes from groups such as the Fab 5 and the Ezra Charles Band!

SaturdayTexas TNT takes to the stage at noon, Cajun rockers Bayou Roux is up around 2 PM and the Ezra Charles Band closes out the day around 4.

Sunday – Houston’s Jazz and R&B favorites, The Gary Michael Dahl Band will perform at noon, Country/Southern rockers, the Posse Band at 2 PM and the incredible Fab 5 wrap up the festival beginning at 4 PM.

There will be Cajun delicacies provided by the French Quarter Grill and Pecos Grilling Company, with seafood from Snookie’s Fish Camp, festival snacks from Texas Chris Hamon, and Texas and Louisiana craft brews from Cisco’s Salsa Company.

There will be loads of activities for the kids including games and giveaways from the “Back the Bay” organization, craft vendors, and more from 11 AM to 6:00 PM both days.

Challengers can compete in a boudin ball eating contest on Saturday May 4th, and a hushpuppy eating contest on Sunday compliments of Snookie’s Fish Camp and Grill in Tomball. Registration will be on-site the day of the event beginning at 2 p.m..

Tomball’s locomotive drivin’ mascot, Rusty Rails will be on-hand, and the historic Depot will be open for tours with Station Agent Ken Walden.

Admission and parking are free! Bring your own lawn chairs or picnic blankets for grass seating. Coolers are welcomed, but outside alcohol is not permitted on the festival grounds.
